2022 Volvo V60 C-Country ULT B5MHEV AWD A 2.0L Hybrid electric (clean) · V60 MEF

Consistent roadworthiness is the primary characteristic of this vehicle, which successfully passed its inaugural MOT test on 17 December 2025 with no recorded defects or advisories. Given that the vehicle has only undergone a single statutory inspection, the data set is limited, providing no historical pattern of recurring component failure or progressive degradation. The absence of any flagged items at the three-year mark indicates that the major safety-critical systems, including the braking, steering, and suspension assemblies, met the required standards at the time of the assessment. Accumulating 16,844 miles over a four-year period results in an average annual usage of approximately 4,211 miles, which is significantly lower than the typical national average. While this reduced mileage may suggest less cumulative stress on the drivetrain and chassis, it also means the vehicle has spent substantial time stationary. Buyers should be aware that low-mileage vehicles can occasionally develop issues related to inactivity, such as surface oxidation on brake discs or the potential for seized sliding pins within the brake calipers, which may not always manifest during a standard MOT inspection but can impact braking performance during active road use. During your test drive, pay close attention to the feel of the brake pedal, ensuring there is no pulsation or judder under light to moderate braking, which would indicate potential disc corrosion or uneven pad wear resulting from periods of non-use. Given the vehicle uses a mild-hybrid powertrain, listen for any unusual mechanical noises or hesitation during the transition between the electric motor assistance and the internal combustion engine. Any grinding or scraping sounds during low-speed maneuvering could point to brake components that have not been adequately exercised. Furthermore, perform a thorough inspection of the suspension and steering components for any signs of premature rubber degradation or fluid weeping from the dampers. Although the vehicle passed its inspection without issue, the combination of low mileage and the weight of the Cross Country specification means that the suspension bushes and linkages are subject to different stresses than a high-mileage motorway vehicle. Listen specifically for any knocking or clunking sounds when traversing uneven road surfaces, as these are the primary indicators of wear in the steering rack, control arms, or anti-roll bar links that might have been too subtle to be flagged during the most recent test.
