2007 Vauxhall Vectra 2.8L Petrol · VD06 VXR

The vehicle currently holds a roadworthy status, having passed its most recent test in October 2025 with 72,388 miles and no recorded defects. The maintenance trend appears stable, following a period of minor electrical and mechanical rectifications. While the car failed its 2023 test due to multiple lighting failures, the subsequent pass and the latest clean sheet suggest that the owner addresses identified safety-critical faults promptly. At 19 years old, the recorded mileage of 72,388 miles is remarkably low, averaging approximately 3,810 miles per year. The usage pattern is consistent across the records, showing only roughly 2,700 miles driven between the 2024 and 2025 tests and a similar interval in the previous year. This low annual mileage often reduces mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine components, though it increases the risk of rubber-based parts perishing or fluid degradation if the vehicle has sat stationary for extended periods. A prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on the offside steering rack gaiter which was flagged as deteriorated in October 2024 at 69,639 miles. Although it passed the following year, this component is prone to tearing, which leads to steering rack fluid leaks and internal contamination. Given the vehicle's age and low usage profile, a thorough check for structural corrosion on the sills and suspension mounting points is essential, as these areas on older Vectras often succumb to rust regardless of the miles driven.
