2013 Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0L Diesel · VE13 HFD

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on its recent history of clean passes. The most recent inspection conducted in September 2023 at 79,676 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, indicating that the car met all minimum safety standards at that time. This suggests a proactive maintenance approach where minor mechanical or electrical issues were addressed before they could result in a formal MOT failure. The mileage pattern is consistent with a low-use vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 6,100 miles per year. There is a notable gap in records between January 2022 at 72,504 miles and December 2020 at 66,633 miles, which reflects a period of reduced use or a delayed inspection. However, since the late 2020 test, the vehicle has covered roughly 13,000 miles, maintaining a steady and predictable driving habit. Given the current date of June 2026, the vehicle is now over two years overdue for its next MOT, suggesting the current or previous owner has neglected the annual testing interval. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on the suspension components and brake assembly, as low-mileage vehicles often suffer from rubber degradation in bushings and seized caliper pistons due to sitting. The 2019 failure regarding an inoperative rear plate lamp was a minor electrical fault, but a general check of the lighting loom is still advisable. Because the record shows no structural advisories for corrosion, a thorough check of the underbody sills and wheel arches remains necessary to ensure no hidden rust has developed during the long intervals between recorded testing.
