2016 Volvo V60 2.0L Diesel · VF16 KUU

The vehicle’s most recent MOT on 2026-02-16 at 93,771 miles recorded a pass with no defects, indicating a stable maintenance trend. Earlier tests from 2025-01-22 and 2024-01-22 also passed without issues, though a conflicting entry on the same date in 2025 notes a failure with no defects recorded. This inconsistency may reflect administrative error, but the absence of recurring mechanical faults in the broader history suggests the car has been well-maintained. No advisories or critical failures are documented, supporting the conclusion that the vehicle remains roadworthy. The mileage progression aligns with an average annual usage of ~9,377 miles, consistent with typical ownership patterns for a 10-year-old vehicle. Tests spaced approximately one year apart from 2023 to 2026 show no significant gaps or sudden mileage spikes, implying regular use and adherence to MOT schedules. The lack of defects in multiple consecutive tests reinforces the reliability of the maintenance record, though the 2025 failure entry without explanatory details warrants cautious scrutiny. A buyer should prioritize inspecting suspension components, particularly rear coil springs and bushings, which are common wear points in Volvo models of this era. Brake systems, including calipers and discs, should be checked for binding or uneven wear, as these issues can arise from inconsistent servicing. Corrosion in the exhaust system and underbody panels is another area to verify, as it may not always trigger MOT failures. While the record shows no immediate risks, a professional inspection is advised to confirm the absence of hidden degradation.
