2024 Porsche Taycan 4X2 Electric · VG05 LEE

The DVSA records show no MOT history for this 2024 Porsche Taycan, meaning there is no recent test outcome to reference and consequently no trend—stable, worsening or improving—to assess. Without a documented MOT, the vehicle’s compliance with statutory safety and emissions standards cannot be confirmed, and any latent defects that would normally be flagged by an MOT remain unknown. Mileage is not recorded, so the annual usage rate cannot be quantified. For a two‑year‑old high‑performance electric sedan, typical private‑owner mileage would be in the range of 5‑8 000 miles per year; any figure substantially above that would suggest more aggressive driving and could accelerate wear on the tyre carcass, brake components and suspension bushings. Conversely, a very low or absent mileage reading may indicate prolonged periods of storage, which can lead to tyre sidewall perishing, 12 V battery sulphation and possible corrosion of brake discs or caliper pistons from inactivity. A prospective buyer should conduct a thorough visual and tactile inspection of the tyre sidewalls for cracking, dry rot or uneven wear that might betray mis‑alignment or worn suspension components. Examine the wheel rims for corrosion, especially around the hub bore, and check that the tyre tread depth meets the legal minimum and that the tyre age, as indicated by the DOT code, is less than six years to avoid age‑related degradation. Inspect the under‑carriage for any signs of rust or damage to the battery cooling ducts, and verify that the high‑voltage coolant is at the correct level and free of contaminants. The 12 V auxiliary battery should be tested for cranking voltage and checked for any signs of leakage or corrosion at the terminals. During a test drive, listen for any clunking or squeaking from the front and rear suspension bushes, coil springs or anti‑roll bar links, and feel for any wandering or pulling that could indicate alignment or steering rack wear. Observe the acceleration response of the electric drivetrain for smooth, instantaneous torque delivery without hesitation, and watch for any warning lights on the instrument cluster that may signal battery management or software faults. The brake pedal should feel firm with little pedal travel, and there should be no pulsation or shudder when applying the brakes, which would suggest warped discs or contaminated pads. Finally, request the full service and software update history, confirm that any Porsche‑issued recalls have been addressed, and ensure that the high‑voltage battery remains within the manufacturer’s warranty parameters, as these factors together will give the most reliable indication of the vehicle’s current roadworthiness.
