2013 Land Rover Discovery 3.0L Diesel · VK13 DYN

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness based on a consistent history of clean passes over the last five years. The most recent inspection conducted on 12 May 2025 at 135,323 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, indicating a stable maintenance trend. This clean record suggests that the previous owners have proactively addressed mechanical issues before they escalated into MOT failures, which is uncommon for this specific model. The mileage accumulation is remarkably consistent for a 13-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 10,400 miles per annum. Between the May 2021 test at 92,972 miles and the May 2025 test at 135,323 miles, the vehicle covered 42,351 miles, showing a steady annual progression. This regular usage pattern suggests the vehicle has not suffered from long periods of stagnation, which often leads to degradation of rubber components and fluid breakdown in Land Rover products. While the MOT record is flawless, a buyer must still perform a thorough physical inspection of high-wear components inherent to the Discovery platform. Particular attention should be paid to the air suspension system for leaks or perished bellows, as these often fail without triggering an MOT advisory until critical. Inspect the control arm bushings for tearing and check for surface corrosion on the chassis rails and subframes, as the MOT only checks for structural integrity once rust reaches a specific depth of decay.
