2017 Honda Civic 1.6L Diesel · VK17 FSX

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a string of clean passes. The most recent test conducted on 14 June 2025 at 104,650 miles resulted in no defects, indicating that the car currently meets all minimum safety and emissions standards. Following a single failure in early 2023, the vehicle has maintained a consistent record without advisories, suggesting the current owner is proactive in addressing mechanical requirements. The mileage pattern is consistent with a nine-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 11,600 miles per annum. Between the 2022 test at 71,673 miles and the 2024 test at 100,082 miles, the car covered over 28,000 miles in two years, indicating a period of high usage. However, the interval of 4,568 miles recorded between April 2024 and June 2025 shows a return to more moderate driving, which helps mitigate the effects on on drivetrain and suspension components. While the MOT history is remarkably clean, a buyer should still focus on high-wear components typical for a 100,000-mile Honda. Inspect the physical condition of the suspension arm bushes and coil springs, as these often degrade at this mileage without triggering an MOT failure. Given the lack of recorded advisories, verify the brake discs for thinning or pitting and check the thickness of the pads to ensure maintenance has not been deferred until the point of failure.
