2004 BMW R1150 1.1L Petrol · VN04 AEP

The vehicle presents a consistent history of roadworthiness across the last five testing cycles. In the most recent inspection on 25 February 2026 at 28,809 miles, the motorcycle passed with no defects or advisories. This follows a trend of stability seen in previous years, where the tester found no issues with exhaust emissions, braking systems, or lighting components. The absence of recurring advisory notices suggests that the primary mechanical systems and structural integrity have been maintained within acceptable parameters throughout its life. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 22-year-old machine, averaging approximately 1,310 miles per year. Between the May 2021 test at 27,648 miles and the February 2026 test at 28,809 miles, the vehicle covered 1,161 miles. While low mileage typically reduces wear on consumables such as brake pads, tyres, and chains, it introduces risks related to age-related degradation. Rubber components, seals, and hydraulic hoses may suffer from perish or dry rotting during long periods of inactivity. Given the clean test results, there are no documented red flags regarding binding own or structural corrosion. However, a buyer should verify the physical condition of the fork seals and suspension bushes, as these often fail due to age despite low usage. The data indicates a vehicle that has not been subjected to heavy stress, but the age of the components necessitates a thorough check for fluid leaks and perished rubber that a standard MOT test might not fully capture.
