2022 Land Rover Discovery SPT Urbn ED D Mhev A 2.0L Diesel · VN22 AEY

The vehicle remains roadworthy based on its most recent MOT, which was conducted on 2025-07-17 at 17,677 miles and returned a clean result with no defects. No prior tests are recorded, so the maintenance trend cannot be definitively assessed. However, the absence of issues in the latest inspection suggests the current owner has maintained the vehicle to a standard compliant with legal requirements. The low mileage for its age (approximately 4,419 miles annually) indicates minimal usage, which may correlate with reduced wear on consumables but could also imply prolonged inactivity, potentially affecting components like suspension bushes or brake calipers. The MOT history shows a gap of over three years between the vehicle’s manufacture and the first recorded test, which is unusual. This period of inactivity could have led to undetected issues such as corrosion in the exhaust system or stiffness in moving parts. The low mileage of 17,677 miles as of 2025-07-17 suggests the car has not been subjected to heavy use, which may limit visible wear on tyres, brakes, or transmission components. However, the lack of intermediate MOT records means there is no evidence of recurring faults or progressive deterioration in critical systems. A buyer should inspect the vehicle for signs of prolonged inactivity, such as dry rot in rubber components, corrosion on underbody panels, or seized suspension joints. The absence of brake-related defects in the latest test does not preclude the need to check for binding calipers or uneven brake disc wear, which can occur if the vehicle has been stationary for extended periods. Additionally, verifying the condition of the exhaust system and ensuring all fluid levels are within specification would provide further assurance of the car’s mechanical integrity.
