2005 Audi TT 1.8L Petrol · VO05 CZM

The roadworthiness status of this 2005 Audi TT is currently valid, supported by a clean pass on 30 October 2024 at 143,608 miles. This latest test followed an immediate retest on the same day after a failure, alongside an earlier failure on 12 August 2024. The maintenance trend reflects intermittent administrative or mechanical hurdles during the autumn of 2024, though the vehicle ultimately achieved a compliant status without lingering advisory items. The mileage accumulation sits at an average of roughly 6,838 miles per year over its twenty-one-year lifespan, which aligns with typical UK driving habits for a sports coupe of this era. A notable gap appears in the MOT record between the pass on 29 December 2021 and the subsequent test on 17 December 2022, followed by another lengthy gap leading up to the dual test events in August and October 2024. These extended intervals between testing events suggest periods of potential SORN status, storage, or inconsistent vehicle use by previous owners. Because the official MOT test database records no specific advisory notes or failure reasons for the 2024 failures, prospective buyers must perform a thorough physical inspection of high-wear mechanical assemblies. The turbocharged engine and quattro drivetrain demand close scrutiny for oil leaks, boost integrity, and Haldex coupling operation. Suspension components, including wishbone bushes and coil springs, require careful checks for degradation given the age of the chassis. Brake discs, pads, and calipers also warrant detailed examination to ensure consumable maintenance has not been neglected during the periods of sparse test history.
