2007 Vauxhall Astra 1.4L Petrol · VO57 AEV

The 2007 Vauxhall Astra remains roadworthy following its most recent MOT on 30 August 2025 at 102,849 miles, which it passed with no recorded defects. The maintenance trend over the past five years is stable, with each annual test yielding a clean pass and no recurring mechanical failures or safety-critical faults. Mileage accumulation has been notably low for a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 5,413 miles per year. The gap between the September 2024 and August 2025 tests reflects just 1,817 miles added, consistent with light usage. There are no signs of rapid mileage spikes or prolonged periods of inactivity that might raise concerns about component degradation or fuel system issues. Given the absence of recorded faults, a buyer should still verify the condition of high-mileage wear items in person. Focus on the front and rear brake discs for uneven wear or scoring, suspension struts and coil springs for signs of oil leakage or cracking, and the exhaust system for corrosion, particularly around the rear silencer and catalytic converter. The low annual mileage suggests the engine and transmission may be in relatively good health, but a visual inspection of the cambelt area and coolant hoses is advisable, as rubber components can deteriorate with age regardless of distance travelled.
