2017 Mazda 2 1.5L Petrol · VU67 WBX

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness with a remarkably stable maintenance trend over the last five years. The most recent test conducted on 28 August 2025 at 70,356 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This consistent streak of clean passes suggests the previous owners maintained a proactive approach to vehicle upkeep, as the car avoids the mechanical or safety failures that typically trigger MOT advisories. The mileage accumulation is exceptionally consistent for a nine-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,800 miles per annum. Between the August 2021 test at 31,378 miles and the August 2025 test at 70,356 miles, the car covered 38,978 miles over four years. This steady usage indicates regular operation rather than long periods of stagnation, which often leads to seized components or perished fluid seals. There are no sudden spikes in the data that would suggest erratic use or recent long-distance touring. Because the MOT history shows no recurring advisories regarding structural integrity or mechanical components, a physical inspection should focus on consumable wear that occurs regardless of a clean test record. A buyer should check the condition of the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of perishing, as these often degrade silently before failing a test. Given the low mileage, the brake discs and pads should be inspected for pitting or uneven wear if the vehicle has sat for extended periods between services.
