2003 Kawasaki 1.5L Petrol · VX53 FKK

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes over the last five years. The most recent test conducted on 27 April 2025 at 28,722 miles returned no defects or advisories. This trend suggests a high level of baseline maintenance and that the mechanical and structural components remain within operational parameters without the recurring failures often seen in vehicles of this age. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 23-year-old machine, averaging approximately 1,249 miles annually. Between March 2021 and April 2025, the vehicle covered only 4,768 miles, indicating very infrequent use. While this low mileage reduces mechanical wear on the drivetrain and engine internals, the long intervals between use can lead to the gradual degradation of rubber-based components and fluid chemistry which are not visible through mileage alone. Because the MOT record shows no recorded faults, a physical inspection must focus on components affected by age and low-mileage storage. A buyer should inspect the tyres for sidewall cracking and perished rubber, as the tread depth may still be sufficient despite the low mileage. The braking system should be checked for seized calipers or internal corrosion on brake discs caused by the vehicle sitting for extended periods. Structural integrity of the frame and swingarm requires close scrutiny for surface rust or pitting, which can occur regardless of the distance driven. Additionally, the suspension bushes and fuel lines should be inspected for signs of cracking or hardening. The clean history suggests the vehicle has been well-cared for, but the low usage necessitates a thorough check of age-related material decay that a standard MOT test might not fully capture.
