2010 KTM 990 Supermoto 09 1.0L Petrol · VX60 EWL

The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status, evidenced by its most recent MOT pass in February 2026 at 14,681 miles where no defects were recorded. Throughout its documented history, the supermoto has consistently passed inspections without major mechanical failures or structural failures. The lack of recurring advisories or failures suggests a vehicle that has been kept in good conditions rather than subjected to harsh environments or high-frequency use. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a sixteen-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 918 miles per year. Data shows a significant period of inactivity between 2019 and 2021, where the bike covered only 446 miles over two years. A more recent increase in usage occurred between June 2024 and February 2026, with the mileage climbing 2,912 miles in under twenty months. While this low mileage reduces mechanical wear on the engine and gearbox, the intermittent usage pattern often leads to degradation of rubber-based components and fluid oxidation over long periods. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components affected by low-mileage, long-term storage. The June 2024 test flagged a worn nearside drive chain, which, despite not being excessive, requires a close look for tension issues and sprocket profile. Given the age and low annual mileage, the front fork seals must be inspected for leaks and the brake calipers checked for pitting or corrosion resulting from disuse. Additionally, the tyres should be evaluated for flat spotting or cracking, as the rubber compound often ages out even when the tread depth remains sufficient.
