2017 Lexus GS 300H Executive Edition CVT 2.5L Hybrid electric · WAZ 3099

The vehicle presents a stable and exemplary maintenance trend, culminating in a completely clean pass on 11 November 2025 at 22,936 miles. The MOT record shows zero defects across all three recorded tests, indicating consistent mechanical reliability and no emerging or recurring faults. This unblemished history suggests the hybrid drivetrain and associated components have remained fully compliant with UK roadworthiness standards throughout the recorded period. The mileage accumulation aligns with exceptionally light usage, averaging roughly 2,548 miles per year over its nine-year lifespan. Between the September 2022 test at 13,386 miles and the September 2023 test at 17,156 miles, the vehicle covered 3,770 miles over twelve months. However, from the September 2023 test to the November 2025 test, mileage increased by only 5,780 miles over twenty-six months, indicating a significant drop in annual usage or prolonged periods of standing. Such low mileage preserves consumable wear but raises questions about the condition of perishable components like rubber suspension bushes and seals that degrade with age and lack of use. Despite the flawless paperwork, a physical inspection must focus on components susceptible to low-mileage degradation rather than active wear. Examine the underside for structural corrosion on the chassis, subframes, and suspension mounting points, as infrequent use and standing can cause moisture accumulation. Check the condition of the brake discs and calipers for surface rust and binding, which often affects vehicles that sit idle for extended periods. Inspect the tyre sidewalls for age-related cracking, as the original rubber will be approaching the end of its safe service life regardless of remaining tread depth. The hybrid battery cooling intake and general rubber hoses also require close scrutiny to ensure dry rot has not compromised their integrity.
