2012 Porsche Cayman 2.9L Petrol · WJ12 ACZ

The vehicle maintains a pristine roadworthiness status, evidenced by a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent test conducted on 9 April 2025 at 16,278 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This indicates a remarkably stable maintenance trend where the vehicle has consistently met DVSA safety standards without any mechanical failure or structural degradation over the last five recorded tests. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 14-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,163 miles per year. A significant gap exists between the May 2019 test at 16,262 miles and the April 2025 test at 16,278 miles, during which the car covered only 16 miles over six years. This suggests the vehicle has spent long periods in storage. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and braking system, it increases risks associated with-related degradation of rubber-based components. Because the MOT record shows no faults, a buyer must focus on components affected by stationary time rather than mileage. Inspection should prioritise checking cracking or dry rot in tyres, wiper blades, and suspension bushes, as these materials perish regardless of distance driven. The braking system requires a thorough check for seized calipers or corroded discs which often occur during long periods of inactivity. Additionally, fluid levels and engine oil should be inspected for moisture contamination to ensure the internal components have not suffered from extended intervals between use.
