2016 Peugeot 2008 1.2L Petrol · WK16 OUJ

The 2016 Peugeot 2008 presents a stable and exemplary maintenance trend, culminating in a clean pass on 19 March 2026 at 9,723 miles with zero defects recorded. Every annual test since July 2022 has passed without a single advisory or failure, indicating a vehicle that has been consistently maintained to a high mechanical standard. The absence of recurring faults suggests the previous owner addressed wear items proactively rather than allowing minor issues to escalate into serious structural or mechanical risks. The mileage accumulation aligns with exceptionally light usage, averaging roughly 972 miles per year over the last decade. Between the July 2022 test at 6,207 miles and the July 2023 test at 6,884 miles, the vehicle covered just 677 miles. This figure rose slightly to 835 miles over the following twelve months, then jumped to 1,521 miles between April 2025 and March 2026. While the recent uptick in usage is notable, the overall low mileage means typical wear on consumables like brake discs, suspension bushes, and tyres will be minimal, though prolonged standing can cause its own issues like seized calipers or perished rubber. The MOT record flags no recurring mechanical or structural defects, removing the need to scrutinize specific historical problem areas. A buyer should still inspect the vehicle in person for the typical ailments of a low-mileage car that may stand idle for long periods. Check the tyres for sidewall cracking and date codes, as tread depth will likely be high but rubber degrades with age. Examine the brake discs for surface corrosion and ensure the calipers are not binding, a common issue when a car sits unused. Suspension bushes and exhaust mounts should also be inspected for perishing, as short-trip driving and standing accelerate rubber deterioration.
