2003 MINI Cooper S 1.6L Petrol · WK53 GRX

The 2003 Mini Cooper S presents a stable and clean roadworthiness profile. The most recent test on 11 March 2026 at 89,287 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, continuing an unbroken five-year sequence of fault-free MOT outcomes. The maintenance trend shows no deterioration and no recurring advisory items across the available history. Recorded mileage sits at 89,287 against an age of roughly 23 years, equating to about 3,882 miles per annum. The DVSA data shows gentle, consistent accumulation: 76,285 miles in February 2022, 79,684 in February 2023, 82,971 in February 2024, 86,035 in March 2025, and 89,287 in March 2026. No gaps or sudden jumps appear. Such low yearly use implies the car spent extended periods stationary, which often masks aged rubber and fluid degradation not captured by MOT pass results. A buyer should still commission an in-person inspection of suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake calipers, as low-mileage storage accelerates perishing that a pass certificate will not reveal. Examine subframe and sills for corrosion, a known structural weakness on this chassis. Verify coolant, brake fluid, and timing chain tensioner condition given the car's age and intermittent use pattern.
