The vehicle’s most recent MOT test on 2025-08-21 at 92,876 miles confirms it remains roadworthy under current DVSA standards, with no defects or advisories recorded across the past three consecutive tests. This suggests the vehicle has passed all mandatory checks for brakes, suspension, steering, emissions, and structural integrity without fail. The absence of recurring advisories or defects implies that, at least in terms of statutory compliance, the car has been maintained to meet the minimum legal thresholds. However, the lack of any recorded issues does not preclude hidden wear or deferred maintenance—particularly in high-mileage components like suspension bushes, coil springs, or drivetrain seals—which would require independent verification. The recorded mileage of 92,876 miles over six years equates to approximately 15,479 miles annually, a rate significantly higher than the UK average for vehicles of this age. The most notable gap between tests is between the 2023-09-01 and 2024-08-16 MOTs, where the vehicle accumulated 18,610 miles in just over a year—a rapid increase that could indicate either intensive use or prolonged periods without intermediate servicing. The consistency of passing tests despite this mileage suggests either disciplined maintenance or that critical components have not yet reached failure thresholds. Still, the elevated mileage per year raises expectations for accelerated wear in areas like brake pads, tyres, and suspension components. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an inspection of high-mileage consumables such as brake discs and pads, which may exhibit uneven wear or glazing after prolonged use. The suspension—particularly rear coil springs and bushes—should be checked for stiffness, clunking noises, or excessive play, as these components degrade predictably with mileage. Additionally, the MHEV hybrid system’s battery and cooling lines warrant scrutiny, as hybrid vehicles often suffer from premature degradation in these areas. Finally, a thorough examination of the underbody for corrosion, especially around wheel arches and subframes, is essential, given the vehicle’s age and exposure to UK road conditions. While the MOT record provides reassurance against overt failures, the high annual mileage necessitates a cautious approach. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on components beyond statutory checks, as the absence of recorded defects does not guarantee long-term reliability. The buyer should treat this vehicle as a high-mileage unit and prepare for potential near-term servicing needs in brakes, suspension, and hybrid-specific systems.
