2012 Ford Focus 2.0L Diesel · WP61 ACV

The vehicle presents a stable maintenance profile with no recorded mechanical or structural defects across the available MOT history. The most recent recorded test in December 2022 at 117,633 miles resulted in a pass with no advisories, indicating the vehicle was in a roadworthy condition at that time. While the record shows a failure immediately preceding that pass in December 2022, the lack of specific defect details makes it impossible to determine the exact cause, though the subsequent pass suggests any identified issues were rectified. The mileage accumulation appears consistent with a typical 14-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,400 miles per year. The data shows steady progression from 91,248 miles in December 2019 to 117,633 miles by late 2022. This steady usage pattern suggests the car has not spent extended periods stationary, which helps mitigate risks associated with perished rubber components or seized brake calipers. However, there is a significant gap in the data between December 2022 and the current date of July 2026, meaning the current roadworthiness of the vehicle is unverified. A prospective buyer must account for the nearly four-year lapse in official MOT testing. Given the age and mileage, a thorough physical inspection is required to check for age-related wear that the MOT testing regime might not capture. Focus should be placed on the condition of the suspension bushes, coil springs, and the integrity of the subframe to check for corrosion. The buyer should also verify the current state of consumable items and fluid health. Since the last recorded mileage was 117,633, the brake discs and pads, tyre tread depth, and wiper blades should be inspected for wear. Because the vehicle has not been officially tested since 2022, the current emissions levels and structural integrity remain unknown and require direct verification.
