2007 Nissan Micra 1.4L Petrol · WV07 AAZ

The most recent MOT test conducted on 25 February 2026 resulted in a pass with no recorded defects or advisories. This represents a highly stable and consistent maintenance trend over the last five years, as the vehicle has successfully cleared every annual inspection without any noted mechanical failures or structural concerns. Such a clean record suggests that the vehicle has been subject to conscientious upkeep or has simply not been subjected to the heavy wear and tear typically associated with high-mileage urban driving. With a recorded mileage of 102,893 miles over approximately 19 years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 5,415 miles per annum. This is significantly lower than the UK national average, indicating a profile of light usage. While low mileage generally implies less wear on the engine, gearbox, and drivetrain, it also suggests the vehicle may have spent extended periods stationary. This pattern of infrequent use can lead to specific mechanical issues that are not captured by an MOT test, such as the degradation of rubber components or the settling of fluids. Given the clean MOT history and low annual mileage, a prospective buyer should focus on age-related degradation rather than wear-related failure. Inspect the tyres thoroughly for sidewall cracking or perishing, as rubber compounds can harden and lose grip over time even if tread depth remains high. Check for signs of corrosion on the underside, particularly around suspension bushes and brake lines, which can occur when a vehicle is parked for long periods in damp environments. During the test drive, listen for any dull thuds or clunks from the suspension, which might indicate perished rubber mounts, and ensure the brakes do not feel spongy or exhibit any binding, which can result from calipers seizing due to inactivity. Furthermore, verify the service history to ensure that time-based maintenance has been performed. Even with low mileage, engine oil, brake fluid, and coolant should be replaced at regular intervals to prevent chemical degradation and internal corrosion. Check the 12V battery health, as infrequent driving often leads to insufficient charging cycles and premature battery failure. Finally, ensure that all vital fluids are at the correct levels and do not show signs of contamination, as stagnant fluids can lose their protective properties and lead to unexpected mechanical issues.
