2015 Land Rover Defender 2.2L Diesel · WV65 ACU

This vehicle presents an exceptionally clean MOT history with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 10 September 2025 at 28,545 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of clean passes dating back to September 2021, indicating a vehicle that has been kept in a roadworthy condition without the recurring failures often associated with this model. The mileage is remarkably low for an eleven year old vehicle, averaging roughly 2,595 miles per year. The odometer readings show very steady, low-volume usage, increasing by only 925 miles between the September 2024 and September 2025 tests. Such low mileage suggests the vehicle has spent significant time stationary or has been used for very short trips, which carries different risks than high-mileage wear. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on areas where low usage causes degradation. While the MOT record shows no failures, the lack of movement can lead to perished rubber components, seized brake calipers, and degraded tyre compounds regardless of tread depth. Check the chassis and bulkhead for corrosion, as the MOT tester may not always flag early-stage surface rust that does not yet compromise structural integrity. Inspect the fluids for signs of contamination or degradation due to infrequent oil changes. Verify that the braking system operates smoothly and that the suspension bushes have not cracked from age. Given the absence of any advisories over the last five years, the mechanical record is exemplary, but the physical reality of a low-mileage Defender requires a thorough check for dormant rust and perished seals.
