2018 SYM Mask 50 0.0L Petrol · WV68 TXM

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the available MOT history. The most recent test conducted on 8 December 2022 at 10,937 miles resulted in a clean pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This indicates that the scooter was in a condition that met all minimum DVSA safety and environmental standards without any mechanical or structural failures during that inspection period. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for an eight-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,367 miles per year. Between the December 2021 test at 10,727 miles and the December 2022 test at 10,937 miles, the scooter covered only 210 miles. This suggests either very infrequent urban use or long periods of storage. While low mileage generally reduces wear on the drivetrain and brakes, stationary fluids and rubber components can suffer from degradation over time despite lack of use. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on signs of age-related decay rather than mileage-related wear. Check for cracking in the tyre sidewalls and perished suspension bushes, which often occur when scooters sit for long durations. Since the record shows no previous brake issues or exhaust corrosion, the tester should verify the condition of the brake lines and the integrity of the exhaust manifold for surface rust. Given that the last MOT was over three years ago, a current test is now mandatory to ensure no new mechanical faults have developed during the extended gap in documentation.
