2019 Volkswagen California 2.0L Diesel · WV69 WJD

The vehicle is currently road‑worthy according to the latest DVSA test on 2025‑05‑27 at 25,908 miles, where the inspector recorded no defects. The most recent outcome follows a series of clean passes and a single failure on 2024‑06‑06 that also listed no defects, indicating a stable maintenance pattern rather than a worsening issue. The recorded mileage climbs from 7,714 miles in June 2022 to 13,711 miles in June 2023, then to 20,944 miles in June 2024, and finally to 25,908 miles in May 2025, averaging about 3,700 miles per year. The intervals between tests are roughly twelve months, suggesting the van spends long periods stationary, which can accelerate corrosion and affect components such as suspension bushes and brake calipers. A buyer should therefore scrutinise the rear suspension for worn bushes or broken coil springs, examine the brake discs and calipers for binding or uneven wear, and inspect the chassis and wheel arches for rust that may have developed during idle periods. Although the latest MOT found no defects, the earlier failure with no defects recorded hints at possible latent issues that a physical examination can confirm.
