2013 KTM 990 Adventure 12 1.0L Petrol · WX13 BVP

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status with a consistent record of clean passes following previous mechanical repairs. The most recent test in May 2026 at 16,916 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This follows three consecutive years of perfect results from 2024 to 2026, indicating that the mechanical issues identified in earlier years have been addressed and are not recurring. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a thirteen-year-old adventure motorcycle, averaging approximately 1,300 miles per year. There is a significant gap in usage between August 2018 and August 2021, during which the bike covered only 241 miles over three years. Since 2021, the usage has increased more regularly, covering roughly 1,500 miles annually. While the low total mileage suggests less wear on the drivetrain and engine, it also increases the risk of rubber component degradation and corrosion from long periods of inactivity. A buyer must focus inspection on the suspension and braking systems due to their history of failure. The July 2020 test flagged a serious fluid leak on the offside shock absorber and misting on the nearside unit, while the 2018 test identified an excessively binding rear brake caliper. Physical inspection should verify that the shock absorbers remain dry of oil and that the rear wheel rotates freely without resistance. The exhaust system, which showed issues in 2016 and 2020, should be checked for manifold leaks or internal rust that may have developed despite the low mileage.
