2013 Volkswagen Golf 2.0L Diesel · WX13 OSM

The Volkswagen Golf presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 4 February 2026 at 102,148 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded. This follows a failed test on the same date at 102,146 miles where the DVSA entry shows no defects listed, indicating the failure likely concerned documentation or a minor presentation issue rather than a mechanical fault, with the car subsequently passing within hours. Mileage progression across the record is consistent and unremarkable for a 2013 vehicle. The car covered 86,731 miles by 28 January 2023, 92,470 by 2 February 2024, 96,885 by 5 February 2025, and 102,148 by February 2026. That equates to roughly 5,000 to 6,000 miles per year between tests, below the 7,858 annual average implied by the odometer, and suggests gentle use with no rapid accumulation or standing gaps. The clean pass history with zero advisories across all five entries points to a previous owner who kept basic upkeep current. Given the absence of any flagged advisories on suspension bushes, brake discs, coil springs, or corrosion, no recurring mechanical faults emerge from the data. A buyer should still commission a physical inspection of structural integrity and underbody for rust, as MOT cleanliness at this age does not rule out early weathering. Verify the brake calipers and exhaust emissions operate within tolerance, and confirm the 4 February 2026 failure cause with the selling garage to exclude any hidden rectification.
