2013 Ford Fiesta 1.0L Petrol · WX13 WLD

This 2013 Ford Fiesta has demonstrated a stable roadworthiness profile over its recent MOT history, with no defects or advisories recorded in any of the five tests conducted between July 2022 and March 2026. The most recent test on 4 March 2026—just four months ago—confirmed the vehicle passed without issue, though the duplicate entry at the same date and mileage suggests a minor administrative anomaly rather than a mechanical concern. There is no evidence of recurring faults or worsening conditions in the official record, though the lack of advisories does not preclude hidden wear or deferred maintenance. The vehicle’s compliance with emissions and structural checks remains consistent, but the absence of any recorded issues in the past year does not guarantee current condition beyond what the MOT certifies. The recorded mileage of 76,628 miles at the most recent test reflects an unusually low annual average of approximately 5,894 miles over its 13-year lifespan, which is significantly below the typical wear rate for a vehicle of this age. This suggests either light usage or prolonged periods of inactivity, which could mitigate some forms of wear—such as excessive brake pad or suspension bush degradation—but does not eliminate the risk of corrosion or fluid degradation from standing. Notably, the mileage increased by just 3,150 miles between the September 2023 and September 2024 tests, indicating a period of minimal movement. While this pattern could imply careful ownership, it also raises questions about whether critical components like coolant, brake fluid, or transmission oil were serviced during these low-activity phases. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an in-person inspection of high-wear items that are not routinely tested, such as suspension bushes, coil springs, and steering rack condition, as these are not explicitly covered by the MOT’s visual checks. The lack of advisories on brake systems in recent tests does not rule out uneven pad wear or binding calipers, particularly if the vehicle has been driven sporadically—fluid contamination or corrosion could develop over long periods of inactivity. Structural integrity should also be scrutinised, especially around wheel arches, sills, and the subframe, where corrosion can compromise safety without immediate MOT failure. Finally, verify the condition of the exhaust system and catalytic converter, as these are often overlooked but critical for emissions compliance and structural support. The absence of faults in the record does not guarantee these areas are free from deterioration.
