2019 Volkswagen Polo 1.0L Petrol · X24 YDS

The vehicle remains roadworthy, but the maintenance trend shows a concerning decline regarding tyre management. While the most recent test in September 2025 at 53,506 miles passed, the advisory for an offside front tyre worn close to the legal limit and on the edge continues a negative pattern. This follows the 2024 test at 45,488 miles where three separate front tyres were flagged for similar issues. The mileage profile is consistent with typical usage for a seven-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 7,600 miles annually. Data is a steady progression from 21,090 miles in early 2022 to the 53,506 miles recorded in late 2025. However, the gap between the March 2022 and September 2022 tests shows a period of low usage followed by a consistent annual increase in subsequent years. While the overall mileage is low, the recurring wear on tyres suggests that the owner has neglected basic vehicle upkeep or wheel alignment checks. A buyer must personally inspect the front suspension and steering geometry. The repeated reports of tyres worn on the edges across multiple years strongly indicate worn suspension bushes, faulty ball joints, or an incorrect tracking alignment. These issues will lead to premature tyre failure and potentially affect handling if not addressed. You should check the brake discs for uneven wear or thinning, as the record does not explicitly clear these components despite the recurring front-end wear issues.
