2003 Citroen C3 HDI LX 1.4L Diesel · XFZ 8150

The roadworthiness of this vehicle is currently indeterminate due to a significant lack of recent data. The last recorded entry is from 4 July 2022 at 155,602 miles, which resulted in a failure without specific defects listed. Because there are no MOT tests recorded for nearly four years, it is impossible to determine if the maintenance trend is stable or if the mechanical condition has deteriorated. The vehicle is likely operating without a valid test certificate given the current date. The recorded mileage of 155,602 miles over 23 years reflects an average usage of approximately 6,765 miles per year. This aligns with low-use patterns for a car of this age. However, the long gap since the 2022 test suggests the vehicle may have sat stationary for extended periods or been used infrequently. Long periods of inactivity often lead to the degradation of rubber components, perished brake seals, and corrosion in fuel lines, regardless of the relatively low odometer reading. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection to compensate for the lack of recent testing history. Given the age of the Citroen C3, focus attention on the structural integrity of the sills and floor pans for corrosion, as this is common for this era. Inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for wear, and check the brake calipers for binding or excessive play. Since the 2022 failure provided no specific defects, a professional diagnostic check of the diesel system and drivetrain components is essential to ensure no underlying mechanical faults have gone unaddressed during the years without recorded testing.
