2010 Volkswagen Touareg Altitude V6 TDI A 3.0L Heavy oil · XUI 5916

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test conducted in August 2025 at 166,065 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, indicating that the vehicle currently meets the minimum safety and emissions standards. This trend of clean results across the last several years suggests that previous owners have proactively addressed mechanical and structural requirements before they could escalate into failures. The mileage accumulation is consistent with a 16-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 10,400 miles per annum. Between January 2022 and August 2025, the car covered 28,435 miles, representing a steady rate of use. There is a notable gap in records between December 2019 and January 2022, where the vehicle covered over 17,000 miles in just over two years. The lack of long periods of inactivity suggests the vehicle has been used regularly, which is generally beneficial for the V6 TDI engine and seals and suspension components. While the MOT record is clean, a buyer must perform a physical inspection of high-wear areas common to this model and age and mileage. The absence of recorded advisories means the tester did not find immediate structural corrosion, thinning bushes, or brake components, but the 166,000-mile mark demands close scrutiny of the control arm bushings, shock absorbers, and turbo. Inspect the chassis for hidden rust that a standard MOT test might miss in the early stages. Given the age, verifying the condition of the timing components and checking for any oil leaks is essential to ensure the vehicle remains reliable.
