2001 Fiat Ducato 1.9L Diesel · Y945 DAU

The 2001 Fiat Ducato holds a current roadworthy certificate following the MOT pass on 21 November 2025 at 54,970 miles, and the maintenance trend across the supplied records stays stable with no mechanical defects logged. The test on 14 November 2025 produced a fail at identical mileage yet recorded no defects, and the subsequent pass one week later with zero faults indicates the rejection stemmed from administrative or procedural causes rather than worsening condition. Earlier examinations on 14 October 2025 at 54,639 miles, 15 June 2023 at 49,059 miles and 28 April 2022 at 49,058 miles each returned passes with no advisories, confirming a clean diagnostic history. Recorded mileage sits exceptionally low for a twenty five year old panel van, totalling 54,970 miles or roughly 2,199 miles per annum. The odometer advanced a single mile between April 2022 and June 2023, revealing an extended stationary period. From June 2023 to October 2025 the vehicle covered 5,580 miles, then added 331 miles within the following month ahead of the November tests. Such sparse accumulation implies light commercial or private use, while the unchanged pass outcomes suggest previous keepers satisfied statutory testing without accruing wear flags, though prolonged storage hints at infrequent active maintenance rather than rigorous servicing. A prospective buyer should still arrange a hands-on inspection of structural integrity and corrosion across the chassis rails and body mounts given the vehicle’s age and standing periods. The MOT tester flagged no suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs or exhaust emissions faults, but dormant vehicles commonly develop binding calipers, perished tyres and degraded rubber isolators that remain within legal limits on test day. Verify the brake system releases freely after prolonged inactivity and check for fluid leaks, fretting on electrical connectors and any hidden rust that statutory tests may not catalogue.
