2012 Suzuki Swift 1.2L Petrol · YA61 DDJ

This Suzuki Swift demonstrates an exceptionally stable maintenance trend and remains roadworthy. The most recent MOT on 9 February 2026 at 102,088 miles resulted in a clean pass with no defects or advisories recorded. This follows a consistent pattern of clean passes dating back several years, suggesting a vehicle that has been maintained to a high standard. The mileage accumulation is consistent with the age of the vehicle, averaging roughly 7,292 miles per year. The distance covered between tests has remained steady, with 10,250 miles added between February 2025 and February 2026, and 11,046 miles added between February 2024 and February 2025. There are no erratic gaps or sudden spikes in usage that would suggest periods of neglect or excessive commercial wear. The absence of any advisories over the last five years is uncommon for a vehicle of this age. The tester has not flagged typical wear items such as thinning brake discs, worn suspension bushes, or tyre tread depth issues since February 2022. This suggests a proactive approach to maintenance where consumables were likely replaced before they reached a failure point. A physical inspection should still focus on areas the MOT may not fully capture. Check for underside corrosion, particularly on the sills and chassis rails, as these are common weak points for this model. Verify the service history for oil changes and timing chain health to ensure the mechanical upkeep matches the clean MOT record.
