2022 Mazda 3 2.0L Petrol · YC22 KWJ

The vehicle currently presents a clean roadworthiness status with an improving maintenance trend. The most recent test conducted on 11 April 2026 at 46,164 miles resulted in no recorded defects, indicating that the mechanical and safety issues identified in the previous year were addressed. This transition from a heavily advised list to a clean pass suggests a proactive approach to resolving flagged faults. The mileage pattern remains consistent with a four-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 11,500 miles per annum. Between the April 2025 test at 39,865 miles and the April 2026 test, the car covered roughly 6,300 miles. This lower annual usage in the final year suggests lighter use, which may have slowed the rate of wear on the drivetrain and suspension components typically associated with high-frequency motorway driving. A physical inspection should focus on the front-side geometry due to the issues recorded in 2025. The tester previously flagged a distorted nearside front outer road wheel and uneven tyre wear, which often indicates a past impact or poor suspension alignment setting. While the 2026 test was clean, a buyer must verify that the wheel is true and that the steering components and suspension bushes show no signs of premature wear or play. The braking system and tyres also require scrutiny. The 2025 record noted pitted and scored rear brake discs along with perishing on multiple tyres. Since these were likely replaced to achieve the subsequent pass, the buyer should check for even brake pad wear and ensure the current tyres are not showing signs of dry rot or sidew cracking, particularly on the off-side components which may have been overlooked.
