2012 Vauxhall Vivaro 2.0L Diesel · YC62 AEL

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness status, reflecting a consistent but reactive maintenance pattern. The most recent MOT test on 12 December 2025 at 168,757 miles passed with no defects recorded, following a failure just one day prior. This pattern suggests the previous owner is willing to rectify immediate compliance issues to ensure the vehicle remains legal for the road, though the lack of recorded advisories across the last three years indicates that the vehicle is currently meeting the minimum safety standards without documented preventative warnings. At 14 years of age, the 2012 Vauxhall Vivaro has averaged approximately 12,000 miles per year, which is consistent with a commercial vehicle used for regular trade duties. The mileage data shows steady accumulation, with 3,979 miles covered between the December 2023 and December 2024 tests, and another 5,772 miles between December 2024 and December 2025. This regularity suggests the van is in active use rather than sitting for long periods, which typically places predictable loads on the drivetrain and suspension components. A prospective buyer should focus their physical inspection on high-wear areas common to this-mileage profile. While the MOT record shows no current advisories, the high mileage necessitates a close look at the chassis for structural corrosion, particularly around the mounting points and subframes where rust accumulates. Inspect the suspension bushes and coil springs for signs of fatigue or tearing, as these often degrade under the recorded annual mileage. Given the repeated failures immediately before passes, verifying the condition of the brake discs and the integrity of the exhaust system is essential to ensure mechanical issues are not merely masked to pass the test.
