2020 Fiat Swift 2.3L Diesel · YF20 YSS

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness with a stable and consistent maintenance history. The most recent MOT test conducted on 6 March 2026 at 10,310 miles resulted in no defects or advisories, maintaining a clean record across four consecutive inspections. This suggests the vehicle has remained in a good mechanical state without recurring issues or structural degradation throughout its early life. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a six-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,718 miles per year. Between February 2024 at 5,441 miles and May 2025 at 8,998 miles, the car covered only 3,557 miles in over thirteen months. The short interval between February 2025 and May 2025, where only 41 miles were recorded, indicates periods of infrequent use. While this low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and suspension components, it often introduces specific risks associated with long periods of standing. Because the MOT record shows no mechanical faults, a buyer should still inspect for issues common to low-mileage cars. Infrequent use can lead to flat spotting on tyres, corrosion on the brake discs, and seized brake calipers due to lack of friction. Check the condition of the rubber suspension bushes for cracking and ensure the engine fluids have not degraded from age despite the low odometer readings. The clean history suggests a well-cared-for vehicle, but the physical inspection must confirm that the lack of use has not caused seal shrinkage or fluid oxidation.
