The most recent MOT was on 2022-10-18 — over three and a half years ago as of today. It passed with no defects recorded at 887 miles. Brake efficiency is the only recurring issue in the history: a noted deficiency in 2018 (at 864 miles), and a comment in 2012 suggesting brake performance was suboptimal even then (“Higher brake efficiency normally obtainable”). There’s no evidence the brake issue was resolved between 2012 and 2018, and no brake-related defect was recorded in 2022 — but that doesn’t confirm correction, only absence of failure at test time. The trend is ambiguous. The 2012 and 2018 entries both point to brake inefficiency, yet the 2022 test shows no brake faults. This could mean repairs were done, or it could reflect inconsistent testing conditions or temporary improvement. With no intervening records, the pattern cannot be confirmed as worsening, stable, or improving — only that brake performance has been a historical concern. The mileage — 887 miles in 21 years — is exceptionally low (≈42 miles/year). Such minimal use strongly suggests long periods of storage rather than regular riding.
