2008 Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0L Diesel · YG58 XPR

The vehicle remains roadworthy, but the maintenance history shows a clear trend of deteriorating suspension components and brake wear. The most recent test in October 2025 at 127,851 miles identified wear on both nearside and offside front suspension arm bushes. While the vehicle passed, the recurrence of suspension arm issues across the 2024 and 2025 tests suggests that the front end assembly is reaching the end of its functional life. The mileage pattern is consistent with a vehicle of this age, averaging approximately 7,100 miles per year. Between the October 2021 test at 94,159 miles and the October 2025 test at 127,851 miles, the car covered 33,692 miles, indicating a steady and predictable usage rate. There are no significant gaps in the testing history, though the jump of roughly 7,000 to 8,000 miles between tests confirms the vehicle is used regularly rather than sitting. A buyer should conduct a thorough physical inspection of the front suspension and braking system due to repeatedly flagged faults. The tester previously noted issues with anti-roll bar ball joints and thinning brake pads between 2021 and 2023, while the 2024 advisory regarding a worn rear inner tyre points at potential alignment issues or a failing camber component. Given that the front bushes were flagged in the two most recent tests, the buyer must verify if these have were addressed or require immediate replacement to prevent further handling degradation and uneven tyre wear.
