2005 Iveco Daily 2.3L Diesel · YJ05 WTC

The vehicle presents a concerning roadworthiness profile with a maintenance trend showing significant structural degradation and mechanical neglect. While the vehicle passed its most recent test in January 2022 at 136,896 miles, the record reveals critical advisories regarding corroded brake pipes and structural rust. Given that over four years have passed since this recorded inspection, the current state of the chassis and braking system is unknown and likely worsened. previous structural failures in the sills indicate that the vehicle is reaching the end of its operational life regarding metalwork integrity. The mileage history is highly irregular and suggests long periods of inactivity or data inconsistencies. There is a nine-year gap between the December 2012 test at 270,114 miles and the January 2021 test at 136,636 miles. This discrepancy, where the mileage dropped by over 130,000 miles, indicates a clock rollback or administrative error. The average usage of 6,500 miles per year is low for a heavy commercial vehicle, which often leads to accelerated deterioration of rubber components, brake seizing, and internal corrosion due to standing rather than mechanical wear. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection focusing on the underside of the vehicle and the braking system. The 2021 failure for significantly reduced rigidity in the nearside rear sill and the 2022 advisory for general structural rust suggest the frame is severely compromised. Specific attention is required for the condition of the brake hoses and pipes, which were already flagged for corrosion and de-contamination in previous tests. The history of ABS faults, SRS warning lights, and exhaust leaks suggests that the electrical and safety systems have not been maintained to a professional standard.
