2012 Peugeot Boxer 2.2L Diesel · YJ62 LRV

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by five consecutive MOT passes over the last five years. The most recent test conducted on 31 July 2024 at 181,979 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This consistent history of passing without recorded faults suggests that the previous owners have maintained the vehicle to a standard that prevents minor mechanical or structural issues from reaching a failure threshold. The mileage pattern indicates a high-intensity usage profile, averaging approximately 13,000 miles per annum. Between July 2020 and July 2024, the vehicle covered 42,324 miles, showing a steady accumulation rather than long periods of inactivity. The jump of 10,988 miles recorded between the July 2022 and July 2023 tests reflects consistent commercial or heavy use. While this high mileage suggests the engine has been worked regularly under load, it also places significant cumulative stress on the drivetrain, braking system, and suspension components. Given the clean MOT record, a physical inspection should focus on components prone to high-mileage wear on a Boxer chassis. A buyer must inspect the structural integrity of the chassis for corrosion, particularly around the rear members and leaf springs, where salt and grime often settle on heavy vehicles. The suspension should be checked for perished bushes and worn dampers, as these often degrade after 150,000 miles. Additionally, checking for brake caliper play or uneven disc thickness is necessary to ensure the high mileage has not led to accelerated component wear.
