2011 BMW 640 3.0L Diesel · YK61 LRZ

The vehicle is roadworthy, having passed its most recent MOT on 30 June 2025 at 66,490 miles. No defects were recorded on that test, and the preceding three examinations (July 2024, August 2023 and the earlier 2025 re‑test) also returned passes, indicating a stable maintenance trend with no recurring failures. Across a 15‑year lifespan the odometer shows 66,490 miles, averaging roughly 4,400 miles per year – markedly low for a 2011 model. Mileage rose from 57,679 miles in August 2023 to 63,035 miles by July 2024, a gain of 5,356 miles in eleven months, then increased by 3,455 miles to the latest 66,490 miles in June 2025. The pattern reflects steady, moderate use rather than periods of intense mileage accumulation, and no large gaps or sudden spikes appear in the record. Although the MOT history records no advisory or failure items, a prospective buyer should still examine wear items that commonly emerge on a vehicle of this age. Inspect suspension components – particularly the front and rear bushes and coil springs – for any signs of fatigue or leakage. Verify brake discs and pads for thickness and even wear, and confirm that the calipers operate without binding. Check tyre tread depth and uniformity, as low mileage does not guarantee tyre condition. A visual survey for corrosion on the chassis, wheel arches and under‑body, as well as a functional test of the exhaust system and emissions output, will reveal any hidden deterioration not captured by the MOT data.
