2014 Volkswagen CC 2.0L Diesel · YM14 ACV

The vehicle demonstrates a highly stable roadworthiness profile, evidenced by five consecutive clean MOT passes between May 2019 and May 2023. The absence of any recorded defects or advisories across this four-year period suggests a disciplined approach to preventative maintenance and suggests the vehicle has not suffered from chronic mechanical neglect. While the lack of a test record since May 2023 is notable, the consistent history leading up to that point indicates a well-maintained example that has avoided the typical degradation associated with high-frequency component failure. The recorded mileage of 83,358 miles over a twelve-year lifespan averages to approximately 6,946 miles per annum, which aligns with typical usage patterns for a vehicle of this class. The data shows a steady, predictable accumulation of miles, with the largest jump occurring between May 2019 and May 2020 at 6,556 miles. This consistent usage pattern is generally preferable to vehicles that have sat idle for extended periods, as it suggests the engine, seals, and drivetrain components have remained lubricated and functional through regular operation. Prospective buyers should focus their physical inspection on the components that typically remain hidden from the MOT tester during a standard test. Given the age of the vehicle, the condition of the suspension bushes, track rod ends, and coil springs warrants close scrutiny, as these rubber and metal components often perish regardless of mileage. Inspect the brake discs for signs of pitting or corrosion, as these parts can deteriorate if the vehicle is left standing for long durations. Verify the current status of the timing belt or chain, as the service schedule for this specific engine may be due based on the vehicle age, even if the MOT record remains clean.
