2012 Yamaha 0.7L Petrol · YN12 GZA

The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status with a consistent history of clean MOT passes. The most recent test, conducted on 26 June 2025 at 2,580 miles, recorded no defects or advisories. This reflects a trend seen across the previous four tests since 2021, indicating that the vehicle has remained in a condition that meets minimum safety standards without recurring mechanical or structural failures being flagged by the tester. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 14-year-old vehicle, having covered a total of only 2,580 miles. This averages out to approximately 184 miles per year, with significant gaps between tests. For instance, the vehicle covered only 94 miles between the June 2024 and June 2025 tests despite a full year passing. While this low usage suggests minimal wear on the drivetrain, engine, and suspension components, it also implies the vehicle spends the majority of its life stationary for extended periods. A buyer should focus their physical inspection on components affected by long-term storage rather than mechanical wear. Low-mileage vehicles often suffer from perished rubber such, dry seals, degraded fuel lines, and seized brake calipers due to lack of movement. Inspect the tyres for flat spotting or sidewewall cracking, and ensure the brakes are not seized from lack of use. Additionally, check the structural integrity for corrosion that may have developed while sitting, as moisture can cause rust even when a vehicle is rarely driven.
