2003 Iveco Ford 65C15CA 2.8L Diesel · YX03 MYB

The vehicle maintains a roadworthy status based on its most recent test, though the maintenance trend shows a shift toward age-related degradation. The inspection in October 2021 at 273,029 miles identified several specific issues including corroded nearside front brake pipes and a corroded exhaust system. While the vehicle passed, the presence of this corrosion indicates that the underbody components are beginning to reach a stage where structural and mechanical integrity will require proactive attention to prevent future test failures. The mileage pattern is remarkably consistent for a 23-year-old commercial vehicle, averaging approximately 11,800 miles per year. Between July 2018 at 260,378 miles and September 2019 at 270,672 miles, the vehicle covered roughly 10,300 miles in fourteen months, suggesting a steady usage profile. However, there is a significant gap in the record following the 2021 test. With five years passing since the last recorded inspection, the current state of the drivetrain and braking components is unknown and potentially deteriorated. A buyer must conduct a thorough physical inspection of the chassis and braking system, specifically focusing on the areas flagged in 2021. The nearside front brake pipes and flexible hoses should be checked for thinning or scaling to ensure the corrosion has not progressed significantly. The exhaust system also requires scrutiny for structural holes or mounting point fatigue which often follows surface rust issues. Given the time elapsed since the last MOT, all rubber components, including suspension bushes and boots, should be inspected for cracking or perish rot, which frequently occurs on vehicles of this age regardless of mileage.
