2015 Hyundai IX35 S Crdi 1.7L Diesel · YY64 RVU

The Hyundai iX35 from 2015 has maintained a clean MOT history across the last five tests, all passing without defects or advisories. The most recent inspection on 31 May 2025, at 133,203 miles, confirms no outstanding mechanical or structural issues. This consistency suggests the vehicle has been subject to either diligent servicing or a fortunate absence of major failures. However, the lack of advisories or defects does not preclude wear items—such as suspension bushes, brake pads, or tyres—from requiring attention beyond the MOT’s scope. The recorded mileage of 133,203 miles over 11 years equates to approximately 12,109 miles annually, which is elevated for a vehicle of this age. The gaps between tests are regular, with roughly 12-month intervals between each MOT, indicating the vehicle has been driven consistently rather than left unused. The steady accumulation of mileage implies higher wear on components like the drivetrain, suspension, and brakes, though the absence of MOT failures does not confirm their current condition. A prospective buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of the suspension, particularly the rear coil springs and bushes, given the vehicle’s age and mileage. The brakes, while not flagged in MOTs, may warrant closer examination for uneven wear or binding calipers, especially if the vehicle has been driven hard. Tyres, though not recorded in MOTs, should be checked for uneven tread or signs of age-related degradation, as the high mileage suggests they may be nearing replacement. Structural corrosion, particularly around wheel arches and underbody, should also be assessed, as this is a common failure point for diesel models of this era. The absence of MOT advisories does not guarantee these areas are free from issues.
