Common Problems with the
1999 MG Rover MG TF / MGF

The 1999 model year saw the MGF receive its most significant update since launch, commonly known as the "Mk2" or MY2000. Changes included re-specified EPAS power steering, a double-skinned petrol tank, improved cylinder head gasket design, and a redesigned interior with new seats, alloy door trim inserts and a restyled centre console. Externally, the windscreen surround became body-coloured and the indicators were changed from orange to smoked-clear lenses.
