1987 Citroen CX 2.5L Petrol · E141 UHF

The vehicle is currently roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent MOT on 14 January 2026 at 153,728 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded. This follows a similarly clean result from the previous year, indicating a vehicle that is currently meeting all regulatory safety and emissions standards without any flagged advisories. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a 39 year old vehicle, averaging roughly 3,942 miles per year. Between the January 2025 test at 149,529 miles and the January 2026 test at 153,728 miles, the car covered 4,199 miles. This suggests consistent, light usage rather than long periods of stagnation, which generally benefits the health of seals and rubber components. While the MOT record is clean, the age of this Citroen CX necessitates a physical inspection of the hydraulic system and structural integrity. The absence of recorded defects in the last two years does not rule out slow leaks in the high-pressure suspension or steering systems, which are common failure points for this model. A buyer should specifically check for chassis corrosion and the condition of the suspension spheres. Given the low annual mileage, the state of the brake discs and tyres should be verified for age-related cracking or flat spots. The lack of recent advisories suggests a well-maintained example, but a manual check of the fluid levels and a thorough inspection of the underbody for rust is essential to confirm the vehicle's long-term viability.
