The vehicle maintains a stable roadworthiness status based on its clean pass during the most recent MOT test. The most recent inspection conducted in June 2022 at 14,334 miles showed no recorded defects or advisories, indicating that the mechanical issues identified in earlier years were addressed or resolved. However, because nearly four years have passed since the last recorded test, the vehicle is currently out of test and requires an immediate inspection to ensure no degradation has occurred during its period of inactivity. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a thirty-six-year-old motorcycle, averaging approximately 400 miles per year. Data shows significant periods of immobility, with only five miles covered between July 2017 and June 2022, and just 102 miles in the five years preceding that. While this low usage suggests minimal wear on the drivetrain and engine, it increases the risk of rubber component perish, dried seals, and internal corrosion, which are common in vehicles that stand for long durations without regular use. A buyer must focus their physical inspection on components that have historically shown signs ofrelated failure. The 2013 test flagged specific concerns regarding the front suspension stiffness, rear suspension bearing play, and a spongy front brake. While the 2022 test passed without these notes, the age of the machine necessitates a thorough check of the hydraulic lines and fork seals for leaks. Additionally, the previous reports of worn fuel tank mounts and deteriorated handlebar mounts require a close look at the structural integrity and rubber perished points to ensure they have not cracked or failed due to age.
