2013 Volkswagen Caddy 1.6L Diesel · M555 ADF

The 2013 Volkswagen Caddy presents a stable roadworthiness profile, with the most recent MOT on 2025-06-30 confirming no defects at 152,696 miles. The prior three annual tests from 2022 to 2024 also passed without issues, though a failed test on 2024-06-24 at 143,764 miles recorded no defects. This suggests either a procedural error or a minor, unresolved concern addressed before the subsequent pass on 2024-07-04. The absence of recurring mechanical failures indicates consistent maintenance, though the unexplained failure warrants scrutiny. Mileage accumulation aligns with typical usage for the vehicle’s age, averaging 11,746 miles annually. The MOT records show regular testing every 12–13 months, with no significant gaps or abrupt mileage spikes. The 2023-06-26 test at 135,348 miles and 2022-06-14 test at 128,282 miles confirm steady, predictable usage. No evidence of prolonged inactivity or excessive wear on consumables is apparent from the data alone. A buyer should verify the resolution of the 2024-06-24 failure, as its lack of recorded defects may mask underlying issues. Inspect suspension bushes, coil springs, and brake discs for wear, as these components often degrade with age. Check for corrosion on the exhaust system and assess the condition of the rear brakes, which can bind under heavy use. The vehicle’s clean MOT history suggests diligent upkeep, but physical inspection remains critical to confirm the absence of hidden structural or mechanical faults.
