2012 Mercedes-Benz C 2.1L Diesel · T22 RDD

The vehicle presents as roadworthy with a stable maintenance trend. The most recent test on 10 September 2025 at 103,704 miles returned a pass with no defects recorded, and the three prior annual tests from 2022 to 2024 also passed cleanly. The only blemish is a failed test on 23 November 2022 at 77,871 miles, reversed two days later on 25 November 2022 at the same mileage with a pass and no defects logged, which suggests an administrative or minor rectification issue rather than a serious mechanical fault. Annual mileage sits at roughly 7,400 miles, typical for a 2012 car of this type. The records show steady accumulation: 77,871 miles in November 2022, 77,876 miles in September 2023, 89,024 miles in September 2024, and 103,704 miles in September 2025. The two-day gap between the November 2022 fail and pass at identical mileage confirms the car was not driven between tests. Otherwise the history is sparse and clean, with no advisories on tyres, brakes, suspension bushes, exhaust emissions, or structural corrosion across the visible record. A buyer should still commission an independent inspection of the brake discs, coil springs, and underbody for corrosion given the car is fourteen years old. The absence of advisories does not rule out worn suspension components or binding calipers that a tester may not have flagged under current criteria. The 2022 fail with no defect recorded warrants a check of the DVSA failure reason, as some entries omit detail in summarised data. Previous owners appear to have kept basic upkeep current, with no recurring faults or skipped consumable replacements across four years. The clean pass sequence implies the car was maintained to a reasonable standard, though standing periods between the 2022 tests and low annual use may have allowed perished rubber or minor seepage to develop unnoticed.
