2016 Ford Focus 1.5L Diesel · W321 AJW

The vehicle presents a stable roadworthiness profile based on the available MOT history. The most recent test conducted on 30 September 2025 at 108,676 miles resulted in a pass with no defects recorded, following a failure just two miles prior on the same day. This immediate rectification suggests a minor issue, likely a blown bulb or minor sensor, that was addressed without delay. Since September 2022, the car has maintained a clean record without any recorded advisories. The mileage pattern remains consistent with typical usage for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 11,000 miles annually. Between September 2022 and September 2023, the car covered 13,993 miles, followed by 13,733 miles in the year leading to October 2024. The more recent interval of 18,229 miles between October 2024 and September 2025 indicates a steady and predictable rate of wear on components. This regularity suggests the vehicle has been subjected to regular use rather than suffering from long periods of standing or sudden intensive heavy hauling. While the record is clean of structural corrosion or mechanical failures, a buyer should still verify the physical condition of high-mileage components that MOT tests bypass. Focus the physical inspection on the suspension bushes, coil springs, and ball joints, as these often show wear at this mileage figure. Given the lack of recorded advisories for binding calipers or worn brake discs, check the thickness of the pads and the condition of the rotors to ensure the previous owner has maintained the braking system beyond the minimum legal requirements.
